At Harmony Vizslas, we train, compete and breed superior Vizslas in the beautiful Sonoran Desert around Phoenix, Arizona. We are members of the Vizsla Club of America and the Rio Salado Vizsla Club where Donna has been Hunt Training Coordinator and CGC Chairman and is currently the Versatility Chairman and Newsletter Editor.
We believe that Vizslas are very special, requiring lots of love and attention as well as active exercise and consistent training. As highly intelligent dogs, Vizslas learn quickly and are able to compete in all areas of canine sports: rally, obedience, agility and the field. Vizslas are truly among the most versatile of dog breeds, willing to work many hours in the field, take long hikes, or run along the side of a mountain bike, and then come home to affectionately snuggle with the whole family.
When we got our first Vizsla in 2004, we only wanted a "family" dog that would be a good fit with our children. Little did we anticipate that Tori would turn out to be such a fabulous dog who would lead us into hunt training, obedience training, the show ring and agility training.
Tabasco came to live with us when Tori was just 10 months old, and he was just as amazing as Tori. Ginny joined our family the following year and quickly showed us how love and training could give a rescue dog a second chance. Miss Carmen joined the pack in December of 2007, and evened up the score of kids and dogs in our home.
I bred Carmen to Tabasco and kept the pick female out of the litter. "Scarlett" (GCH Harmony's Fortune Favors the Bold CGC JH) was born on January 13th, 2013 - for more information on this litter (Harmony's Treasure Trove), click HERE.
We at Harmony Vizslas are proud members of the American Kennel Club's "Breeder of Merit" program.
